Photography is a
growing passion of mine that began when I was around
Thirteen.
I commandeered the family camera and started my
snapshot years, taking pictures of anything that
moved-- literally. It was about that time that the photo
bug bit and I was hooked. After buying a
professional camera I realized there was a lot more
to photography than just point-and-click.
From there I began to study the technical and artistic aspects of
photography and started building a portfolio. As I
developed as a photographer, my work started popping
up in various newspapers, magazines, and galleries
around the USA.
I was tutored by professional photographers through several internships,
then began freelancing taking on various photography
projects and selling prints.
Having a lifelong interest in science, astronomy, and nature brings life
and meaning to my images that otherwise would just
be ordinary photos.
I love to roam far out in the 'sticks' searching for the perfect shot,
once I find it, I
make many visits to see the way seasons bring new character, life, and
meaning to it. Patience and perspiration will
eventually pay off and the 'keeper' shot will be
born. The images I create have a story to tell, and
now that I've told mine, I'll let them speak for
themselves.
I currently live in Tucson, Arizona with my wonderful wife,
pet parakeet and lots of camera gear. |
